SPRING 2012 - LOGGING RAILROAD WORKERS in THE FOREST

“Logging Railroad” simply means a railroad for carrying cutover huge logs. They were, however, an organization consisting of several companies such as lumber dealers, lumbermills and tree butchers. The clothing worn by those guys was different from that of urban railroad workers in the 20th century. They wore what we call cruiser coat or tailored jacket for the forest work. The clothes were similar to the garment of quiet lumberjacks who went deeply into the forest and cut trees. In actually, however, they were more versatile and were made of slightly lighter materials. In this collection, we give expressions to our clothing of a well-mixed and concentrated atmosphere in which both the forest and the railroad such guys worked. Now we are not bound by the limits each brand has. One of our brands “Great Lakes” releases the cruiser coat and tailored work jacket while “Union Special” does the work coat and work shirt. Though all the items belong to each different series, they all had played an important role at the same time in same place. Before these clothing was clearly categorized, the clothing world had been filled with chaos. This ambiguity can be seen in the relationship between the forest and railroad. We are sure that you will relive the feeling through our collection.

SPRING 2012 - HOME OF THE U.S.

Up to this time, FREEWHEELERS has introduced a lot of printed T-shirts from the series “ADVERTISEMENT OF AMERICA,” by making use of power of catchy logos and impact of the massages with a little black humor. In this spring, we release a sequel of “Automotive Profession,” which has been one of our main motifs. Also, our new theme with similar taste is opened to public. It is titled “HOME OF THE U.S.” whose concept is “the pride of the town.” Here we offer 3 motifs; “Cryptid,” “Last Chance Inn” and “Crab Shack.” “Cryptid” is a legendary creature seen here and there in the U.S. and “Last Chance Inn” is an imaginary Casino club in Las Vegas. Finally, “Crab Shack” is in Florida, as a fictitious seafood restaurant. Each is unique, humorous and a little bit hideous, like the design seen among vintage souvenir T-shirts. We hope you enjoy the gifts from America in the 20th century along with our expressive T-shirts used as a canvas of the print. They will remind you of an atmosphere given from classical undershirts in good old days.
