SPRING 2011 - THE FRONTIER OF THE PROMISED LAND

From the 1870s to the 1910s, the men drove stakes in the wilderness of the Great West where they decided to turn into “their Promised Land.” They created rules in the new world, and carried out their fieldwork in the surrounding areas, and worked hard to establish the foundations for living. What they wore were tailor-made suits and coats with wrinkles just like those of annual rings. There existed the essence of men's clothing which even stirs the emotions of us today. They were the best clothing of those men. They combined their spirit that they should be gentlemen in the new world and the durability of tough workwear. Men of this era were always clad in such nice outfits. Here we release “Jackson” and “Hayden,” the tailored hunting coat and trousers from our “Great Lakes” series. We also provide “Promontory,” the overalls of our “Union Special” series made of Grained stripe and Grained Wabash, as we named. Through these items, we recreate radiance given off from the best clothing of these men in the old days, which are unsophisticated but dignified.

SPRING 2011 - ADVERTISEMENT OF AMERICA Vol.1

In the collection started in this season, FREEWHEELERS offers special series titled “ADVERTISEMENT OF AMERICA,” consisting of mainly T-shirts by putting some items of “Power Wear.” As is shown by the original meaning of advertisement, they would turn your view point. T-shirts are the most suitable to express the catchy American icons as a canvas. FREEWHEELERS selects designs not merely limited to corporation advertisements but targeting icons of any genres and designs if they are attractive and meaningful. In this collection, we release three lineups for the fist edition such as 1) “Worker's Undershirts” inspired motif from union trademarks, 2) “Great Junk Food” taking its motif in food decorated with a plenty of black jokes, and 3) “Automotive Profession” based on the motif of motor culture with a cool sense of speed. We hope you enjoy the nihilistic humors of American icons in the spiteful back stories hidden deep in the eye-catching designs.
